4 l. water.
Bereiding:
De gember schoonmaken door het velletje ervan af te krabben. De gember met een ½ liter water in de blender doen en helemaal fijnmalen. De helft van de benodigde hoeveelheid water aan de kook brengen en over de gemalen gember gieten. De kruidnagels er ook bij doen. Afgedekt een paar uur laten staan totdat het water helemaal afgekoeld is. Het gemberwater zeven door een dun zeeflapje. De cola-essence door het gemberbier roeren suiker toevoegen en blijven afproeven tot de smaak goed is, Het citroenzuur met een weinig water oplossen en in het gemberbier doen. Bij gemberbier is de hoeveelheid water en suiker moeilijk aan te geven omdat de gember soms minder scherp van smaak is, vandaar dat er steeds geproefd moet worden. Koud opdienen.
